Your vehicle's so important to your life in Kingwood, you need to get back on the road as soon as possible – with the problem fixed right the first time. Our engines are more and more powerful and at the same time their fuel economy keeps inching up – even with steep Kingwood gas prices. They are also amazingly reliable: Kudos to the automotive engineers. But the advances come at the price of simplicity. The modern vehicles driven around TX are so much more complex from a mechanical standpoint that it makes your head spin – not to mention the electronics. Some vehicles have several networked computers controlling most of the engine functions and many other vehicle operations as well. Kingwood motorists take all of this sophistication for granted, but somebody has to fix it when it breaks. It's a real challenge for Kingwood Service Center in Kingwood technicians to keep up, but we work hard to stay ahead of the technology. It requires a high level of commitment on the part of the technicians and the Kingwood service centers as well. In addition to the expensive training, there's the financial commitment for Kingwood Service Center to purchase the diagnostic and repair tools. It's like those medical diagnosis shows on TV. Here are the symptoms – what's the diagnosis and treatment? Diagnosis is every bit as much an art as a science. At Kingwood Service Center, we want everything to be simple, straightforward and inexpensive – but sometimes it just isn't. The next time you bring us your vehicle, don't worry. You're in good hands at Kingwood Service Center. Kingwood Service Center Looking Down the Road - HeadlampsPosted August 23, 2020 7:13 AMIf you've ever been driving around Kingwood and had a headlamp go out, you've probably just wanted to replace the bad bulb. If your car uses halogen headlamps, they dim over time. So if you just put in one, they won't have the same brightness, which can be distracting and will affect your field of vision. Kingwood Service Center The Right Oil for the Season (Engine Oil Viscosity)Posted August 16, 2020 9:09 AMAs the temperatures plunge, certain types of engine oil may not flow as easily as they did when it was warmer. Makes sense, doesn't it? Just like molasses gets thicker as the temperature goes down, engine oil does the same thing. So, maybe you're wondering if you have to change your oil as the seasons change so it's just the right thickness to lubricate your engine parts. How well engine oil flows is called its viscosity. There are different types of oil—some that have just one viscosity and others called "multigrade" oils. Here's the difference. A single viscosity oil will flow better when it's hot but not as well when it's cold. A multigrade oil is engineered so that its flow properties at cold temperatures are different than they are at warm temperatures. In other words, a multigrade oil can start out in colder temperatures acting like a thinner oil and then behave like a thicker oil when it's warm. That's a pretty cool trick and it's why multigrade engine oil is used in nearly all vehicles. Your vehicle's manufacturer has the correct viscosity of oil for your particular model included in the owner's manual. Another choice you have to make when it comes to engine oil is whether you use conventional oil, synthetic oil or a blend of the two. Synthetic oils have some advantages over conventional, such as resisting breakdown better and withstanding higher temperatures. Check with your service advisor to see which viscosity and type of oil is recommended for your vehicle. It's important that in cold weather, the oil flows through your engine at the right thickness so that parts are being properly lubricated. That will make sure you'll get good fuel economy and performance, no matter what the temperature is.

You've probably budgeted a certain amount for vehicle related expenses. In this area, we can take a lesson from professional Kingwood vehicle owners. I'm talking about fleet owners and operators. You know, Kingwood folks like the trucking companies and delivery services. Because their livelihood depends on it, they have gotten scheduled maintenance down to a science. And the last thing they skimp on is regular maintenance.
