It seems that as engine technology advances, oil change intervals become longer for Kingwood Service Center customers. For example, recently four of the world's largest vehicle manufacturer's shortened the published intervals for several of their engine models. They originally published intervals that extended out to a much as 8,000 miles (13,000 kilometers). But if your recommended interval is 6,500 miles (10,000 kilometers) and you go over another thousand miles or couple of thousands of kilometers, you're getting into heavy sludge territory. You absolutely need to follow mileage intervals very closely. And don't forget your severe service schedule. If you do a lot of stop and go driving in TX, short trips, drive in dusty or polluted Kingwood conditions, hot or cold weather or haul heavy loads, you're driving in severe service conditions. Your Kingwood Service Center service advisor can help you determine which schedule to follow. Kingwood Service Center Lease or Buy?Posted November 17, 2019 12:06 PM
If your car might suffer a ding or two, like a work truck would, then buying's better. The auto leasing company will want their vehicle back at the lease end in tip top shape, and if repairs are needed, you'll pay. Kingwood Service Center Easy Miles ? Do Kingwood Driving Conditions Affect Service Intervals?Posted November 10, 2019 11:26 AMHave you ever noticed that your vehicle has a schedule in your owner's manual for what is called “severe service” maintenance? Let's define what severe driving conditions aren't: The easiest driving a vehicle experiences is traveling on the interstate for 20 miles (32 kilometers) or more at a constant rate of 65 miles per hour (105 kilometers per hour) in 75°F (24°C) weather with only passengers on board. Change any one of those parameters and you are adding stress to your engine. Change them significantly and you are driving under severe conditions. Kingwood Service Center
Don't Be FuelishPosted November 3, 2019 11:19 AMIf you smell gasoline in your vehicle, pay attention to your nose. That's because it has an important message for you. Newer vehicles should never have a gasoline smell inside. One of the most dangerous conditions can come when your fuel line system has a leak or multiple leaks. Vehicles with fuel injectors are under pressure, meaning a crack or small hole in a fuel line can allow vaporized fuel to escape, sometimes around hot engine parts. Gasoline vapor and hot metal? You see the problem. One of the most common causes of a gasoline smell inside a vehicle is a fuel tank leak. The gas tank can rot or be punctured by road debris. A Kingwood Service Center technician can evaluate the condition of your fuel tank and suggest either repair or replacement. Fuel injectors can develop small leaks around their seals or O-rings. Those can deteriorate over time as the material they are made of gets old and less flexible. A technician can replace those parts. Modern vehicles contain something called a charcoal canister. It gathers evaporating gasoline vapors from inside your fuel tank and prevents them from venting out to the atmosphere. If that canister has a leak, you'll smell it. One hint that you have a problem is the Check Engine light may come on. You may have a leak in your fuel tank vent hose. Or you may be smelling gasoline simply because your gas cap is loose, the cap is faulty or—yes this does happen—your gas cap is missing altogether. Consider the dangers of gasoline fumes seriously. Inhaling them can be bad for your health or they may start a fire. Don't fool with fuel; have gasoline odors checked out right away. Kingwood Service Center | ||

The service here is amazing. I started off with a horrible day coming to the realization that my brakes were going out and I needed to get them repaired sooner rather then later. I stopped in here as I was recommended by a friend. They were so kind and accommodating. Mike made sure I was taken care of and my car is being repaired within the day. They are efficient and go over everything with you in detail before they begin repairs. I highly recommend coming here. I will definitely be coming back and will be a long time customer for the future. Thank you to everyone at Kingwood Service Center!
